Michael hummed along to the soft jazz emanating from his noise-canceling headphones. He tapped his foot lightly, a rhythm mirroring the gentle sway of the potted fern on his desk. He'd just finished a successful presentation. A small smile played on his lips. His stomach felt pleasantly full from the lunch he’d devoured. He leaned back in his chair, the leather cool against his back. Today was a good day. He idly began to organize his desk, a task he usually found tedious, now feeling like a gentle meditation.
